“Cruises can be Murder”

by Shelley Pitter & Martin Dearlove

Performance dates were: 29th, 30th June & 1st July 2017

Cruises can be Murder is a ‘who-dun-it’ play-with-a-meal production. The audience are (for the purposes of the action) passengers on a cruise liner, somewhere off India, who have been invited to the Captain’s Gala Dinner. From the moment they enter the Hall, they will be entertained as though on the Liner and thus are asked to come dressed in suits and evening dresses.

The play starts with a short speech of welcome from the Ship’s Entertainment Officer, and then you will enjoy your starter. Act I of the play is followed by the main course. Act II is followed by dessert and then during the last Scene, the audience are invited to suggest the suspect for the murder. A small prize will be awarded to the winner (drawn from the hat if more than one).

Service: The Chef, Head Waiter and all Waiting Staff are all members of the Drama Group.

Wine & Refreshments: A licenced bar will be open for wine, beer and soft drinks. Complimentary coffee and tea will be served during the last scene.

The Meal: All dietary requirements will be catered for wherever possible. Please let the Box Office know of any special dietary needs when booking your tickets, especially if you require gluten free.

Menu:
Starter: Light Italian Summer Vegetable Soup with pesto (Gluten free on request)
Main: Table Buffet consisting of a choice of cold meats, quiche including vegetarian (gluten free version on request), salad, new potatoes, pasta, rice salad & coleslaw.

All the above menu items subject to availability and liable to change…but hopefully not!
